Buena Vista FD Engine 103 is in the HOUSE! 
INCIDENTS
The South River & Lexington Fire Departments, and Lexington Rescue Squad responded to a reported tractor trailer over-turned, on fire, with entrapment on November 18, 2009 on I-81 at the 197.3 mile marker at 08:04. Crews arrived to find no fire and the driver was out of the cab. The truck was traveling south bound and ran out of the road into the median and came to a rest in the shoulder of the north bound lane. Photo By Ben Wilmer, Chief 7, South River FD.
The South River VFD responded to the Blue Ridge Parkway yesterday (Nov. 12) at mile post 37 for a reported vehicle over the mountain with entrapment. As crews arrived, there were no injuries, and no entrapment. Fairfield Rescue obtained patient refusals. On Tuesday, November 3rd the South River Fire Department and Fairfield Rescue Squad were dispatched for an RV on fire at the rest area in Fairfield. An engine company arrived on-scene to find heavy fire & smoke showing from the RV and a Jeep that it was pulling. A Tanker, second engine, and response vehicle arrived shortly after providing additional water and manpower. There was about $150,000 damage. Photo By Ben Wilmer, Chief 7, South River FD.
